Big Stick Media Corporation's Board of Directors and Management Team provides direct input into the strategic planning, operations and long term goals of the Company. The board and management is currently comprised five members:
Christopher S. Kape, BA, MBA
Director, President, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kape is a seasoned businessman with particular experience and expertise in marketing. Prior to joining Big Stick Media, Mr. Kape owned and operated an online classified-based company. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of Isee3d Inc, a publicly traded technology development company (ICT.h-TSXV) and a partner in a senior management-recruiting firm, specializing in the technology sectors of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management. He began his career at Procter & Gamble. Where he tenured for 2 years in 1994-96. Mr. Kape is currently also a director and officer of Global Energy Inc., a company listed on (GEYI:OTCBB)
Mr. Kape holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies (Finance and Economics) from the University of Western Ontario and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University) in Montreal, Quebec.
Robbie Manis, BCom, CA
Director, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Manis is an investment banker with over ten years of experience structuring and financing complex transactions for a variety of industries.
Mr. Manis obtained his chartered accountancy designation in 1993 and served as a tax specialist with Ernst & Young. In 1996, Mr. Manis commenced employment with Newcourt Credit Group Inc., a company whose shares were publicly traded in Toronto and New York. In that capacity, Mr. Manis served as vice-president in the project finance division specializing in the financing of international infrastructure projects. He later served as vice-president in the government and infrastructure finance group at TD Securities.
He left TD Securities to co-found Norfolk Capital Partners, a private Toronto-based investment bank that specialized in creating tax-advantaged investment vehicles to finance companies in the film, manufacturing and professional sports industries. In 2003, Mr. Manis left Norfolk to join a private Montreal-based merchant bank that invests in a wide array of public and private companies spanning a variety of industries including interactive gaming.
Mr. Manis is a Chartered Accountant and has successfully completed the Senior Directors and Officers Exam of the Canadian Securities Institute.
Morden C. Lazarus, LLB
Director, Chairman
Mr. Lazarus received his law degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1965 and was admitted to the Quebec Bar on January 16th, 1967. He founded the law firm of Lazarus Charbonneau where he has practiced law since 1967. He is a currently a Governor of the Bar of the Province of Quebec.
Mr. Lazarus has been a practicing gaming attorney and has acted as legal counsel to approximately twenty casino properties and gaming companies located in Canada, Aruba, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Atlantic City, New Jersey and Las Vegas, Nevada. As well, he has provided counsel to a number of professional athletes and entertainment personalities as well as acting on behalf of the Royal Bank of Canada for thirty-five years.
Mr. Lazarus is the only Canadian gaming lawyer who has been appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys ("I.A.G.A."), based in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was named "General Counsel"of IAGA in November, 2001, and President of "IAGA" for the 2004/2005 year. He has occupied the position of past President of "IAGA", effective October 31st, 2005. In addition, on September 30, 2004, Mr. Lazarus was appointed on September 30th, 2004 as "Chair" of the "Gaming Law Committee" of the "American Bar Association". Finally, he is a member of the board of directors of Players Network Inc. (PNTV), a public company whose shares are traded on the OTCBB.
Mr. Lazarus was appointed by the Quebec Cabinet to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Société de développement industriel du Québec (S.D.I.) (now "Investissement Québec"), where he served for approximately six years.
Jim Ryan, BCom, CA
Director
Jim Ryan is the CEO of St. Minerva Ltd, a gaming network operator and white label licensing company focused on the European market place. From 2005-2006, Jim was President and CEO of Excapsa Software Ltd. Prior to joining Excapsa Mr. Ryan was the Chief Financial Officer of CryptoLogic, Inc., a leading developer and supplier of online gambling software whose shares trade on the TSX, NASDAQ and LSE.
Mr. Ryan is currently a director of Systems Xcellence Inc, a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Additionally he has held directorships with NuContex Corporation, Adam Technologies Inc., and Alan A. Lamport Stadium.
Cam Di Giorgio, MBA
Director
Mr. Di Giorgio is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience in the financing of a wide variety of corporate, asset, project and lease financing transactions. Currently, as Managing Director, Project Finance for a major Canadian financial institution, he is providing debt and equity funding for infrastructure and energy projects. Mr. Di Giorgio was also involved in investment banking functions with Newcourt Credit Group Inc. (acquired by CIT Group Inc.), underwriting, completing and syndicating debt finance transactions to Canadian and US institutional investors, and managing the business of its Barbados-based equipment finance company.
Mr. Di Giorgio holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University, and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
